đề ngày 18.09.2007, chúng tôi gửi tiếp bản thình nguyện thư này
đến quí Ngài và quí vị tiện dụng. Hoan hỷ lưu tâm 2 việc:
1.
Đem tờ thỉnh nguyện này photo ra thành nhiều bản để vận
động cho được nhiều chữ ký.
2.
Chủ nhật 30.09.2007, sau khi làm lễ cầu nguyện xong, nhờ
những vị tham dự ký vào bản thỉnh nguyện. Cũng có thể nhờ quí
Phật tử nhiệt tâm đi vận động thêm chữ ký.
Khi đã thu nhặt được
những chữ ký xong, xin quí vị cứ tự động góp lại rồi bỏ vào bì
thư gởi cho bộ ngoại giao và tên của các vị dân biểu như trên
đầu trang thỉnh nguyện, để kịp thời gian tính.
Kính chúc quí vị vô
lượng an lạc.

I co-sign below
to respectfully request that the Australian Government
through her Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and
Honourable Members of Federal Parliament will urge the
Government of the Socialist Republic of
Vietnam (SRV) to stop the
repression against the members
of the Unified Buddhist Church of Vietnam
(UBCV) and to stop carrying out a wide range of
strategies to divide, undermine and ultimately suppress
the UBCV.
Since the UBCV Deputy leader Thich Quang Do launched a
“Relief Fund for Victims of Injustice” and distributed
relief aid on 13 and 17 July 2007 in Saigon, and Hanoi
on 23 August 2007 to support dispossessed farmers and
peasants known as the “Victims of Injustice”
demonstrating for weeks in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City
(Saigon), the SRV’s Security Police have intensified
threats, surveillance, harassments, controls,
interrogations against UBCV leadership, particularly
Patriarch Thich Huyen Quang, his Deputy Thich Quang Do,
as well as other UBCV members, and surrounded Buddhist
pagodas in Ho Chi Minh City, and other
provinces.
Given the intensity of this mounting pressure, we are
deeply concerned that arrests of UBCV members may be
imminent. We appeal to the Australian Government,
Honourable Members of Federal Parliament,
international community, all
Hanoi-based diplomats, and international media to be on
the alert and closely monitor the violations of
religious freedom and human rights in Vietnam. |
